Ancestry Tree

I would like to build a family tree on Ancestry I already have a tree on Genes Reunited. Is there a way I can?
transfer the information from Genes Reunited to Ancestry without having to type all the information in again? Also, if I do not know the year a ancestor passed away and I leave it blank, will Ancestry treat it as a living relative?
I’m not familiar with Genes Reunited but if they have the option to download/save your tree as a gedcom file then you can download/save the tree from Genes Reunited then upload the file to ancestry as a new tree.
