Genealogy Free Family Tree Charts
Posted in Uncategorized | Comments OffWhere do I find genealogy charts on line that I can copy and paste into a Microsoft Word documenet?
I’ve tried to use the family tree program at Ancestry.com and use that free assistance, but whenever I try to go back to it I can never find it again. So, I want to try making my own charts and filing them to my personal computer. Suggestions welcome!

Here is a suggestion.
You are going around three sides of a square when you should be going from corner A to corner B.
Download PAF for free from the Mormons

Or, splurge and buy a copy of Roots Magic for $29.
Use it to build your family tree. Then, when you want to print a pedigree chart, descendancy chart or FGS, select a person and click on “Reports > {which one} > Print.
That would be a LOT easier than looking up people, copying a form into word, filling it out, printing it, then, when you discover the person was really born in Virginia, not WV, in 1843, repeating the exercise.
Plus, now your data is where you have control over it, no matter what policy Ancestry.com sets or how high they raise their prices; and no one can hack into it to find out what your grandmother’s maiden name was.
