Hi all i have a very bad history of cancer in my family my mother died of cervical cancer and grandfather of lung cancer in the UK what kind of check ups can i get does someone know what is the best steps i can take

Cervical Cancer is not a sexually transmitted disease, so please do not listen to the person that said that. I just had cervical cancer and I did not get it from anyone. Since your Mother died from C.C. you need to have regular Pap smears done. If there is any indication of cancer it can be find and treated. I don’t know your age so it depends on that info about what all to tell you. You have to been older to start the Mammograms but the Pap’s can probably be done now. Talk to your family doctor about this and he /she can tell you more about it.
